Snow Days..

I don't recall ever having a day in Utah where we couldn't travel to school because it had snowed. I mean, it snowed a good amount, but that didn't stop us from getting to school. I think it's because it's expected and people know it's going to snow and they aren't afraid of driving in it. Also, they are probably better prepared with snow plows, and routes on which roads to plow.

Here in Oklahoma, it snows bad once... and we get the whole week off of school. :) (minus Monday.)

Boy has that been nice. Just me, Kate, and the hubby sitting around doing absolutely... nothing!

Ok, so we did watch tv, get on facebook a million times, browse the internet, played a little xbox, nick ventured out one day into the snow, we took Katelyn out in the snow (she loooooves it and she tries to eat it). And we did whatever else you can do inside for three days straight.. going on four.

If I could, I would want Nick around everyday, all day. Just have someone else go to work for us and we could be at home as a little family and have fun together. :) But we can't, and that's ok.

Here's a picture Nick got of one of the main roads here. The snow was piled up high on the side. Come on.. it's not that bad right? ;) We'll just say it is so we get more snow days in the future.

Other news:

Katelyn is 13 months old now. Some of the cute things she does are:

-At night we'll say "Katelyn want to go night night?" And she'll immediately turn to Nick wave her little hand and say "Nigh, nigh" and walk straight to her bedroom. She waves to Nick because she knows I'm the one who is putting her to bed haha.
-Whenever I'm looking for something I say "____ where are you???" and lately she walks around with me and holds her hands out like she's looking and says "Whhheeeerreee?"
-Every morning we'll sit down on the couch, eating cheerios and drinking milk, and watch baby einstein. I Love doing this with her.
-She is running a lot, it's so cute.
-She plays with my hair every time I put her down for a nap or bed.
-She takes my clothes out of the drawers and puts them on her head and just has random shirts, tank tops, hanging on her neck.
-She does monkey and always opens up her books to whichever page the monkey is on and goes "aah, eee, aah, aah."

We love her so much.

Next item of business. Tomorrow is my Mom's birthday! I wish I could be there and give her a big hug and wish her a happy birthday, but I'll just have to give her a phone call. Then two days later is my big sissy's birthday!! And she finds out what the gender of her baby is on her birthday. How fun is that? I can't wait. Happy birthday girls!!

I can't believe how much she learns in just a month! It's incredible how fast they grow up. I miss her :( Oh, and you forgot to mention how she likes to sit on you when you lay on the ground! ;) I think that one is pretty funny. Thanks for the b-day wish! :) It's the first one in 25 years I'm not spending with Mom. :( Love you guys!
