I think I can.. I think I can...

I'm just going to cut to the chase here.. my sister LU is crazy. No just kidding, she's really great and actually, I really admire what she has accomplished lately! She has exercised, has been eating healthier, and has lost A LOT of weight. Now why can't I do that? I want to. So.. I often ask her what I need to do and today I told her I just didn't really have any motivation to run, so... she is motivating me.. :) read here.

That's why I love having her as a sister. She has always been an example and someone I can ask for advice or look up to.

Now for the running part. I can't really go running outside because it's WAY too hot. It has been cooling down though, so maybe at night I can go. I don't have a gym pass and Nick is way too busy with school for  me to have to depend on him watching Katelyn whenever I go.  So I thought a treadmill would be nice to have. What do you think? I just need to find a way to save up for one. OH, and why running? Well, I've tried the work out videos and other things, but talking to Lu, we both agree that running just makes you feel the best, like you've really worked out, and you're sweating off all the fat. So that's why I'm going to try and start it up. So any hints to get started and to keep going at it would be great :)

Anyways, hopefully I can start this up! If not.. I just won't tell you :)

Thanks again Lu!!! We can do it!

Haha, yes we can! And now I told AJ about it, so he'll make sure we stick with it. Maybe we should have to whole family do it! And we'll just go to Utah and do it. I'll look into when there are races in Utah. It might not be till next spring, but if that's the case, then we can train for a 10K! ;)

You guys are funny!! How did Lu lose a lot of weight when she didn't have any to lose? And same for you!! You both look awesome!!!

My advice to keep it up is train for a race. I did a half marathon a couple years ago and it really helps keep you motivated when you have a goal at the end! You're right though, running does make you feel great. I never used to like it at all, but it gets addicting once you start!
Good luck!

I absolutely love running...or maybe I should say loved. I haven't run since I had Kayleigh and miss it. Running does give you a great high. You should definitely go for it!!

i always dread the idea of running, but once I get out there, it feels so good! i like having a mix of running, weights, and work out videos. variety spices it up, or else running (at least to me) can become a little monotonous. way to go lu! you look AWESOME in your honeymoon pictures. can't wait to see wedding pictures. and dana, good luck getting started! you can do it! can i join you and lu's running club? i've been bad about it lately. i want to train for a race!

Check the classifieds! Lots of people buy treadmills for their new years resolutions and sell them months later... we got one from KSL.com that we love for a great deal. The only way I've been able to work out is to get up an hour before Aspen does and run. And make sure to run to awesome music, my favorite is the Mamma-mia soundtrack! I'm still struggling with the motivation situation, so you'll have to share what works for you! Good luck!

You are so dang tiny! I wouldn't worry about losing weight in your case, but it's so fun to run and be in shape. I agree with Stefany, always have a goal or race in mind! It's hard for me just to "go for a run" but if I'm training for something, it's a little easier. Good luck!
