The baby is out...

Alright, so I really can only blog once Katelyn is asleep and she is falling asleep right now. She is such a good baby. She let mommy take a nap today :) Anyways,

So I started writing a post, and you know when you're like half way through and you think, "Wow, this is really long, I don't think people will want to read this. In fact, I wouldn't even want to read this!" Well.. I'm starting that post over because I thought that in the middle of it, so I am going to condense it and make it short and sweet. :)

WE had a WONDERFUL weekend!

Friday: Date night with some friends, went out to eat, got ice cream after, Nick and I rented a chick flick (Love Happens), we played with Katelyn through out the movie, and then put her and ourselves to bed. A good night! :)

Saturday: I finally went shopping and bought some clothes. Something I haven't done for.. who knows how long. At least over a year. Anyways the awesome part is 1st- Nicholas came with me. What guy can handle going shopping with his wife for a couple hours watching her browse and try on clothes? He was so great. I wanted him to come to tell me what he likes.. he has good taste! I remember when we first started dating he wanted to take me shopping to buy a new outfit, it was so fun! He helped me choose out everything and bought it all for me. But that's beside the fact... see how distracted I get? OK. 2nd- I got some new clothes! Man it feels great to be wearing regular clothes again with out a huge belly out front. 3rd- I got the best deal on some SUPER cute heels. 90 dollars, and guess what I got them for? 20 Bucks! I love finding good sales like that!

Sunday: I would have to say, and I'm sure Nicholas would agree, that Sunday was by far the best day of our weekend. And I'm not just saying that. Church was wonderful. I loved the topic in RS and Nicholas taught the same topic in Elder's Quorum (which went very well) so afterward we really had a lot to talk about and we enjoyed discussing it together. It was on agency.

That night we had a fireside with Elder Bednar. We woke up at 6:15... or should I say Katelyn woke us up at 6:15? Haha. Anyways, she was hungry so I had to feed her. We weren't dressed in our church clothes. The church is 20 minutes away and the fireside started at 7. We definitely had the excuse that we couldn't make it. We both thought however, how often do we get to listen to an apostle of the Lord? So we went... and we made it in time! :)  This fireside was by far one of the best I've been to so I'm glad we went. And I have to say I have never seen an apostle be so casual as was Elder Bednar. He was asking us questions and having us all respond. For example, he said, "You think we can do this?" a couple people said yes. Then he encouraged us even more.. something along the lines of, "Oh come on that was so dead, you think we can do this??" YES! Everyone shouted.

Well the neatest thing was that he had us ask him questions through out the fireside and he would answer. Various people were able to ask and it was so neat to hear the answers to their questions. In the end though, he asked how many of us had thought of a question, weren't able to ask it, but somehow received an answer to our question through out the meeting. Many raised their hand, including myself. He basically ended by saying we don't need him to answer our questions, we all know what we should be doing so do it.

It was a great fireside. We really enjoyed it. Oh and another thing he said he was flying from Dallas Texas and was waiting for the plane 10 minutes to six, the fireside started at 7!! And he still made it in time!

Our weekend was great. I love spending each weekend with Nicholas, and now with baby Katelyn also. They make me so happy and I hope I do the same for them!

I caught some more pictures of Katelyn smiling, so enjoy! Ok one more thing.. you can see this post is still somewhat long, so you can imagine what my other post was like! haha alright bye!

I love this little girl so much. She is the sweetest little angel.

Elder Bednar is one of my favorites, too - he came to speak in our stake (my parent's stake) when I was in high school and it was awesome! Then when he was called to the quorum of the 12 I was so excited. I love the talks he gives! He's so great.

Anyway, we're so excited to see you in a couple of weeks! Glad you guys are doing well. :)
