So we got there on Saturday and I'll list off what we did after that.
-Jacob's blessing
-Went up to Breckenridge (it's a really nice place in Colorado where you can stay in different lodges and go skiing, swimming, hot tubing.etc.)
-We went skiing. I was actually proud of myself, I learned a lot and became a lot better this time around. That was my 3rd time skiing.
-We went hot tubing! I've been wanting to so bad because during Thanksgiving I was pregnant and I couldn't go.
-We rode horses
Katelyn actually was not scared at all to get on the horse and she loved it! They asked if she wanted to get off and she asked for more
Here's a picture of her just not too long ago when she was about 18 or 19 months old
She was screaming and holding on for dear life, poor girl.
-We went out to eat with Nick's parents at a really yummy place in Colorado called CHEDDARS.
-Nick and I went on a date and got smoothies and drove around just to talk.
-We took Nicks parents to this place called FREDDY'S to get custard. They have it in Oklahoma and we've been a couple times and love it! So when we saw it in Colorado we told them we HAD to take them.
Skiing with my hubby. I love him and he is an amazing skier.. Maybe one day I'll be as good as him, but probably not.
-Jacob's skin is really sensitive, so when we went to Colorado the change in weather and it being so dry there made his skin the worst ever. We had to get a prescription for a cream from his doctor. Then it broke out into a rash and his whole body was super red and rough. I felt so bad for him. We took him to the doctor and he is doing a lot better now using a steroid cream, lotion, and vaseline.
-Katelyn got little bumps on her hands and they were super itchy and splotchy red. The doctor said that she probably had hand, foot, mouth, but it didn't affect her too bad because she only got it on her hands. She would wake up itching her hands at night though. Hopefully that is gone soon.
-Last, I got shingles. I still have it and it hurts. I went into the doctor on Monday and they confirmed it and wrote me up some prescriptions. I don't like it and you always think this sort of thing will never happen to you, but it did and I'll get over it. Since Jacob doesn't have his chicken pox vaccine yet there is a chance he could get the chicken pox since he comes in contact with me. I really hope he doesn't and I've been washing my hands like crazy.
SO, I did three doctor visits all in one day on Monday, which basically took up my whole day. Hopefully we will all be clear soon.
And there I am...I'm on a horse. ;) Nick's dad tried convincing me to ride it by myself, but I had a bad experience one time and so now riding a horse freaks me out. Maybe eventually..
