2 months! Jacob

Jacob is 2 months old today. I can't believe it, where did all this time go? I woke up this morning around 4:20 to feed him and I got all settled down and looked at the clock and it read 4:28. I was thinking that exactly 2 months from that time at 4:25 a.m. he was being born. It's so crazy how fast time goes. I feel so so happy that these two months have been wonderful with him. I love him so much and couldn't ask for a better little boy.

He is SUCH a good sleeper. For a while there at the beginning of the month he would stay up really late like until 12:30 or 1 a.m. but now for the past couple of weeks his bed time has been getting earlier and earlier, like last night he went to bed at 8:15 and woke up to eat at 4:20 then fell asleep again until about 7. He has never woken up at night and stayed awake, he always goes back to sleep. I remember with Katelyn she would wake up in the middle of the night and just be awake for a couple of hours at a time. I'm so grateful for my sleep. Thank goodness he sleeps well because I can't imagine waking up multiple times at night with a toddler who wakes me up bright and early.

Both the kids take really good naps, so that means I do too. Katelyn will usually sleep 3 hrs if I'm sleeping next to her and Jacob will sleep two hrs. So most days I get a solid 2 hr nap in which is very nice.

Nick will always wake up with Katelyn in the morning and she'll run around the house with him while he gets ready for school. So I usually don't have to wake up until he leaves which is anywhere between 7-7:30.. so I'm really glad to have him around!

Jacob is starting to smile and coo so much. He reminds me of Katelyn more and more every day. This is what I woke up to this morning..such a happy baby!

Then of course Katelyn wanted to join in on the fun..she sure does love him.

 

Here's some things Jacob does at 2 mos:

-Eats about every 2-3 hrs.

-Weighs 12 lbs. 9 oz. (75th percentile)

-Sleeps from about 9:30-4:00 a.m. eats then sleeps until 7 or 8

-Smiles a bunch

-Coo's back at you when you make noises at him

-Follows Katelyn around with his eyes wherever she goes

-Has found his hands and likes to suck on them

-He wears 3 mos clothing! Shocker for us because Katelyn didn't wear those until she was actually 3+ mos.

Here's some of the things Katelyn likes to do to Jacob:

-Rub his hair back and forth forever. She'll just sit watching t.v. or something and rub his head

-Give him kisses

-She goes "RAWWR! Mommy I scare Jacob" She learned that from Nick and tells me every time she does it.

-She gets worried/scared when he cries and always tells me "Jacob's crying" 

-Checks on him when we are playing. I always check on Jacob and whenever we are playing in Katelyn's room she'll stop in the middle of whatever she's doing and say "I check on Jacob." go in his room look at him and come back and say something like "Jacob asleep" or "I checked on Jacob" It's so sweet.
