14 Months

I was planning on writing every month about Katelyn's growth up until a year, but I found myself thinking of her today and how she is already 14 months old and how smart and talented she is getting. I figure if I remember and have time, why not blog about it for future reference.

Katelyn is getting so big. Physically and in other aspects. She is tall, but she is very thin. She eats pretty well though, people always tell me how tiny she is and I hope they know we DO feed her.. a lot.

Some of her favorite foods are:
-chicken nuggets
-tater tots
-crackers
-pepperidge farm cinnamon swirl raisin bread
-yogurt
-puffs
-mac n cheese
-pretzels
-goldfish
-pizza

She has a hard time trying new things, but if she tries it, most of the time she finds out that she loves it and will keep eating it. She ate a whole slice of pizza once. And I'm talking a big papa murphey's slice of pizza, it wasn't a small piece. I was so shocked. It was the bacon artichoke chicken kind, we love that.

She has recently decided she doesn't like to be rocked very much before bed. She squirms so I'll put her in her crib and within minutes she'll be sound asleep with out making a peep.

She knows so many words (not saying them, but what they are). We have a book full of pictures and I'll ask her where something is and she'll point to it. Even if we haven't studied the picture she can recognize what it is from seeing it outside/around the house and know if I've ever said the word before. Then she always quizzes me and points to something then waits until I say it and just keeps pointing and pointing. It's really cute.

I'm almost done decorating her baby room. I just need Nick's help to hang some things up.

She goes to bed at 9 and wakes up at 7.

She takes 2 naps a day, morning and afternoon.

She loves being outside. We take walks around the neighborhood as much as we can and she walks with me, no sitting in the stroller.

She loves climbing, especially onto the couches. I have to keep a close eye on her. She loves standing on boxes, or chairs.

She loves music and loves dancing.


We love her so much. We're so happy to see her learn and grow every day.
