2nd Practicum... and other things

I'm going to teach

6th grade!!!

AAh, I'm so nervous. I know they are still young, but compared to the 1st grade classroom I was in last semester... they are so much bigger!!! And they have much more of an attitude. I can't believe the big gap I took from 1st to 6th. I'm kind of glad however, because I can see if I like the older grades now. Who knows, maybe i'll end up wanting to teach 6th or 5th grade! For now though... my love still lies with the little ones. They are just so adorable and innocent, I can't wait to have kids of our own. Teaching is the best career for me, everytime I go to an elementary school or see little kids it reassures me that I want to be a teacher. I love the kids. :) I can't wait to teach in my own classroom.

Another update.. I'm thinking I might quit my job soon. I take my Praxis exam on March 14th. That's the exam I have to pass in order to teach. I'm wanting time to study and it's right after my practicum starts so I don't know if I will have enough time to go to the elementary school everyday from 8:00-4:00 p.m., work from 5-9 p.m. AND study for my praxis exam all at the same time (not to mention be a good wife and clean the house hahah). Therefore, I will have to let one thing go.. it was a hard decision, but I decided it would be my job! Actually it wasn't that hard of a decision. So good bye to ABELLA!

Nicholas and I still don't know where we will be going to dental school. As of right now it is Oklahoma!! Wow... never would have thought I'd end up there. HAha. It will be interesting though, since I know nothing about the state. We still are really hoping we'll get into Colorado. I like Colorado, it's a very nice place and it will be nice to still be close to family. Oh yeah, and if we move to Oklahoma I can't do my student teaching this summer!! I will have to do a 'courtesy placement' and they will find a school there for me to teach at in the Fall... I would much rather do it here in the summer. :(
