Family Fun

3 Things about the title:

1. We had family come and visit us today and it was a lot of fun!

2. I finally got my June family fun magazine that I've been waiting for awhile now!

And last but not least,

3. School's out for SUMMER! Now it's time to relax, and have fun as a family :)

First, today Carlie (Nick's cousin) and her husband Seth came from Tulsa to visit us so I could show Carlie how to make baby headbands. It was SO fun! I'm in love with one of the headbands she made (the blue one Carlie) so I might have to copy her. haha. We talked for a little, went to lunch, talked some more, went to the store and got the supplies, came back home, made a few things and they left. I'm so glad they could come! Thanks for coming down you guys!

Second, I recently have been receiving these Family Fun magazines. I don't know if someone signed us up, or if we got a free year subscription from somewhere, but I absolutely LOVE them! I hadn't got my June one and usually you get them before the month starts, so I figured maybe they combined the months of June and July.. and sure enough they did. I kind of wish they hadn't, but I'm excited to see the 4th of July crafts! :)
My Family Fun magazine and on the corner is one of the headbands I made Katelyn. I like it, I don't have any purple ones (out of the millions I have made) so I was really excited to make a purple one. Now time for a new outfit! ha. OK I just remembered I do have a purple bow, but not a flower.. so it's not the same.. right? Gotta love those little girls and all their accessories.

I really suggest getting this magazine if you have young kids, or kids in elementary school because they have so many cute ideas and fun crafts to do! I can't wait until Katelyn is older and we can do some together.

Third, SCHOOL'S OUT FOR SUMMER!! Woohoo! Time for vacations. I am so excited, and every day I tell Nick "YAY, now you get to spend ALL day every day here with me and Katelyn!!" haha. More diaper changes for him ;)

K so in the picture that really means the end of Nick's school year.. in case that's confusing for any of you. It's been fun sending Nick off to school every day (although some days I just say bye in bed.. oops) I kind of feel like a mom in practice haha. Well, I know I'm a mom, but not yet to the stage of sending kids to school. So anyways, I guess this tradition kind of came from my mom, but she always took pictures of us on our last day of school each year, so.. here is Nick's picture on his last day of school for this year, yay! I'm proud of you Nick!

I hope you all are enjoying your summer and we can't wait to get out and see some more family members! love you all,

love,
Nick & Dana
