I Survived...

So, today was my (Dana) first day of my practicum. As I said before I am teaching 6th grade. I was really nervous. I thought that I would just freeze in front of them. Somehow though, I think my introduction lesson went better this time than it did with my 1st graders! (Of course it was a different lesson though.. so that might have been it.)

The 6th graders are really nice, and they are funny. I think I'll have a good time working with them.

Anyways, I'm glad it was a success! I'm excited to work with them more, I still love the little guys, but I think the older grades will be a lot of fun as well because they are easy to talk to and in my school they know like everything: facebook, cool cellphones, the book Twilight! and much more! I couldn't believe when I heard them talking about all of these things.. they are way too young!! Maybe not for the girls to be reading Twilight, but facebook?? Wow. So, yeah, that was kind of surprising.

And, I finished the book Twilight.. I absolutely loved it!! It was great. Now on to book #2:


P.S.- I almost forgot! I got my student teaching position for this summer!! I will be done on August 13th yay!! So after that I can move out to wherever we are for dental school and see my wonderful hubby :) We are still hoping on Colorado because then I would only be away from Nick for about 10 days (he starts the first week of August), if it's Oklahoma he will leave mid June and I won't be able to leave until August! :(
