Lately..

So we have done a lot these past couple weeks, I just haven't gotten the time to write about the things we have done. Here's what we did:

July:
We went to Colorado to visit Nick's family
-water skiing
-the Cheyenne Zoo
August:
-Helped with Hayley's Bridals
-My Birthday!
-We went to Hayley's wedding
-My Brother's Homecoming

We had a lot of fun in Colorado. We went water skiing and I tried it for the first time in my life! I would have to say it was pretty tough for me to get up, I guess that's why I never got up. I got up for a split second, but let go. Nick is an excellent wake boarder and I was able to take a lot of pictures of him! Sydney has some pictures of me trying to water ski, but we haven't gotten them yet, so when we get them I will post them. Nick and I got in the water for a little bit and went swimming, it took me forever to jump in because the water was so cold!

While we were in Colorado Nick and I went to the Colorado Cheyenne Mountain Zoo. I think it's the only zoo built on a mountain, but I'm not sure, so ask Nick for more info about that. Anyways, we got a lot of fun pictures and the zoo was amazing. My favorite part was probably the giraffe's. They are awesome! We got really close to them and were able to touch them.

We also got to go up to Salt Lake and help Hayley, Nicks sister, out with her bridals, so we have a few pictures from that.

On August 18th it was my birthday! Nick was so cute and did a lot for me. In the morning I took him to work and then I got ready for work. No one came in the store at all and then all the sudden Nick walked in around noon! He had brought me lunch and we sat down and ate it together. After that we talked for awhile and then he left back to work. When I got home he had me come upstairs with my eyes closed then had me sit at the top of the stairs while he read me a poem he wrote. It was so cute. After that he did a little scavenger hunt for me and had some present's hidden in our house. I found them and then tried them on. He is so adorable, I love Nick. :)

I love to bake, I made a banana cream pie for Nick and I one night. Except for in the picture it doesn't have the cream. It was so good, we ate it in two nights. I am starting to make a hot pad for our kitchen, however I took it all apart because I didn't like it, so now I have to start over. ha, we'll see if I ever get it finished.

My brother AJ came home from his mission on Wednesday the 20th of August. We picked him up at the airport and brought him home. He is pretty normal, and still funny. I am happy to be able to see him again. We went to his homecoming talk on Sunday, it went very well. After the talk we had to hurry and leave to go do our sharing time. I think our sharing time went really well (so does Nick) the kids loved it and they even remembered what we taught them when we asked them afterwards. haha.

Hayley, Nick's sister, got married on Saturday August 23rd in the Salt Lake temple. We were able to go to that and helped a lot with the reception. It was a good day. We didn't get very many pictures however because our camera is breaking!! One of these days it will completely brake and we will have to get a new one :( but for now, it will have to do.

So, last but not least… I kept my corsage from the wedding and made a picture holder with the flowers around it. It's really cute and I can't wait for Nick to come home so I can hang it up.
